I'm Kristin Darga.
I've been coaching executives since 2013, and one thing has become clear: you can't separate how a leader leads from what happens around them. How you make decisions, communicate, and handle pressure eventually shows up in the culture, and then in the performance of the business.
I know this territory from both sides. I've coached more than 500 founders and executives, including serving as head coach to one company's leadership team from 2020 to 2023, and I've founded six companies myself. I've been the coach in the room, and I've been the one making the call, taking the risk, and dealing with what happens when things don't go to plan.
Sometimes the work is with one leader: a founder whose company has grown faster than their leadership, or a CEO facing a decision they can't crowdsource. Often it's bigger. The executive team isn't working together. The culture says one thing and rewards another. An acquisition or ERP rollout surfaces problems that have been sitting there for years.
I don't think leadership needs another formula. I think we need to get much more honest about how we're actually leading, and whether it's creating what we think it is.
I'm based in Denver and work with leaders across the US and beyond.
